Valley Kitchen Sugar Cookie Recipe

Almond Cookies-Using Valley Kitchen All Purpose Flour

Yield: 24 Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Valley Kitchen All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Butter, soft
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 Large Eggs

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 325° F.
  • Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, using an electric beater, cream the soft butter with the sugar and almond extract. Add the egg and beat until fluffy. 
  • Blend the dry ingredients, in 3 portions, into the batter, stirring with a wooden spoon or a stiff spatula until combined. 
  • Scoop 1 Tbsp of dough for each cookie onto the baking sheet. Leave space for the cookies to spread. 
  • Bake for 14-15 minutes.

These are crunchy cookies, perfect for finishing a meal or as a treat.
