Apple Crumble Bars

Apple Filling

  • 4 medium apples
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp juice lemon
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg

Crumble layer


Prep Apples

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix apple with sugar, flour, cornstarch, and lemon juices.


  1. Mix the oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, and salt together into a crumble-like mixture.
  2. Press two thirds of the crumble into the bottom of two 8x 8 pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes.


  1. Arrange the apple layer on top of the baked bottom layer.
  2. Sprinkle with remaining crumble.
  3. Bake for another 25-30 minutes.


  1. Remove from oven. They will need a little time to set up into “bar” formation, so chill them for a few hours to get them really solid. You should be able to remove them from the pan easily by pulling up on the edges of the parchment paper.
